I am the product lead of digital identity at Snickerdoodle Labs. This is a continuation of my research at PayPal and MPP dissertation which considered the intersection of technical architecture, product design, and regulation for digital identity products released by financial services providers. Web3 applications like NFTs and blockchain will upend current models of data ownership, transfer, and storage. Previously, I specialized in private sector approaches to international development, especially as it relates to financial products designed for base of the pyramid (BOP) consumers. I have touched a number of corners in the financial inclusion ecosystem, from operational and strategy consulting for banks, fintechs, mobile network operators and solution vendors to a Fellowship placement with Kiva at the heart of some of the Middle East’s largest microfinance institutions (MFIs). I was the Inclusive Fintech Ambassador at MIX in India, a key enabler and implementing partner of the Inclusive Fintech 50 competition. The competition represents the joint efforts of Accion, the International Finance Corporation, MetLife Foundation, MIX and Visa to identify inclusive fintechs and render them more visible to impact investors.

In general, my projects involved the analysis of commercial opportunities (changing business models, exploring new partnership paradigms, creating competitive, customer-centric financial products or segmenting customers) and macroeconomic externalities of digital finance. From an exercise in benchmarking alternative credit scoring technology offerings in Africa to a deep-dive into the liquidity of cryptocurrencies for low-income populations, my project portfolio is far ranging.
