ASC Technology Innovation award winner
Last month the ASC hosted our 2023 Technology Innovation Award finalists at the prestigious MRS Awards evening in London. A record attendance with more than 50 tables gathered to celebrate another fine year for the UK market research industry.
And 2023 was an excellent year for the ASC with two very successful one-day conferences, topped off in black tie style with the presentation of the award. Technology continues to transform the research industry and it is fantastic to see so many companies contributing to technology innovation. 2023 was the year dominated by the increasing talk, and now more real-world examples of AI in action, positively impacting on the research process. We will see in the months and years to come just how the future of the industry will be shaped by AI models and the applications they drive.
Following a very enjoyable meal and lively discussion on our table, the tension mounted as the award ceremony began. The worthy winner was AI-powered Inca Smartprobe from Nexxt Intelligence. Their product enables intelligent dynamic follow-up questions based on the responses to open ended quantitative survey questions through the injection of advanced language models. The technology is highly praised by clients, and the judges were very impressed by insights it generates. The ASC congratulates them and is looking forward to seeing how the technology continues to develop. Congratulations also go to other finalists Signoi Ltd for Alethai and 2×4 Solutions for Survey Tester who both ran our winner very close.
The ASC would like to thank everyone who entered and those who gave their time to demonstrate their technology, and to their clients who provided their testimonials. It really does ensure the continued rigour and success of this award. Please look out for the details of our 2024 award on the ASC and MRS websites that will open for entries in May.
“Winning an award such as this, is really important because it provides valuable publicity that really helps to build the profile of a young, growing business such as ours. We were particularly pleased to win an award selected by an audience of our peers in survey research and proud that strong endorsements from clients were a key influence in us winning. Both of these factors make the award even more special to us.”
