Introducing ASC After Hours

ASC’s flagship November event will be trialling an exciting new, shorter format – ASC After Hours – in place of a second One-Day Conference this year. The first ASC After Hours will be held in the evening of 11th November at the offices of Ipsos in Central London.

ASC After Hours will feature a keynote speaker followed by an interactive, participatory session, following the style of successful formats in previous ASC One-Day Conferences. It will then celebrate the very best of res-tech talent with six more people being inducted to the ASC Technologist Hall of Fame. Welcome drinks and refreshments will be served on arrival, and the event will conclude, as is customary at ASC events, in a local pub.

The purpose of this change is to broaden the reach of ASC’s activities to include those who may find it difficult to set aside a whole day to attend an event. This doesn’t mean the end of the One-Day Conference, however! ASC will continue to hold these, and plans are already being made for the spring 2027 Conference. 

Ipsos’s offices are located within a stone’s throw of London’s historic St Katharine Docks, just by Tower of London and a short walk from Tower Hill tube station. The meeting room is fully accessible.

“We want ASC events to be accessible, affordable and worth making time for,” observes Andrew Le Breuilly, ASC Co-chair. “This new evening format gives people the chance to hear fresh ideas, take part in the discussion and catch up with both new and familiar faces, without needing to commit to a full day. We’re looking forward to trying something a little different.”
