As 2026 draws to a close, we’re taking a look back at a year of rapid technological change. From AI and automation to new tools and ways of working, there’s been plenty to get excited about. But how much of it is genuinely changing the research industry, and how much are we still trying to get our heads around?

Join us online on Friday 11 December 2026, from 11am to 12pm (GMT) for our final ASC Labs coffee morning of the year.

We’ll be exploring three big questions:

• What impressed us? The technologies and developments that genuinely moved things forward in 2026.
• What are we missing? The tools and approaches that deserve to be more widely adopted across our industry.
• What don’t we understand? The technologies we’ve heard plenty about but haven’t quite got to grips with yet.

This will be an informal, interactive session shaped by your questions, experiences and ideas. No presentations, no sales pitches, just an opportunity to share what we’ve learnt, challenge a few assumptions and perhaps admit to the odd knowledge gap.
