2024 Technology Innovation Award – Deadline for entries extended to 23 August!

The 2024 ASC/MRS Award for Technology Innovation opened for nominations on the 2nd May. This prestigious annual award has been presented every year since 2003 as a partnership between ASC and MRS. If you have developed technology that you think deserves the recognition of a prestigious independently judged industry award, or know someone who has, then you should consider making an entry.

There is a standard format for entries, and a fee, which is all explained on our awards page. But if you are using someone’s technology and think it is should be considered for this award, then why not share the linlk with them too and encourge them to submit.

Our awards judges are expert in both research and technology, and look at each nomination in great detail in order to find a winner. But your entry will be in safe hands – they do this with sensitivity and in strict confidence, mindful that entrants may need to sharing commercially sensitive or unreleased information with them.

What the judges are looking for is a tech application or solution that is innovative, practical and highly applicable to real life research and the challenges researchers, insight managers specialists in our field face today. It’s open to companies, partnerships, groups or individuals.

Once the judges have examined all the entries received, the judges will announce a shortlist of finalists, usually of thee or four potential winners, early September. Getting to the shortlist alone is a milestone, and certainly something to shout about.

Finalists are then invited to the MRS Annual Awards dinner on the 2nd December – a glittering banquet dinner in London – where the winner will be announced.

As the award also looks for technology effectiveness, it is important that the benefits of this technology can be demonstrated as having been attained in a real life research situation, in market research, opinion research or social research, and that the technology is applicable to other situations which will provide a wider or more lasting benefit.
